We ordered somtam, fried fish, and 2 longan juices. The fried fish was impressive, it is a large portion, enough for three people to share (as we came with 3 people), with crispy skin and young mango with sauce. The somtam was a bit small for sharing, but the flavor was spot on: fresh, tangy, and just the right amount of spice. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, a nice spot to enjoy Thai dishes inside the mall. The restaurant is located on the second floor of The Mall Bangkhae, which makes it convenient if you’re shopping. Price felt fair for the portions and overall experience.

Their somtam was a little too spicy for my taste but the thai milktea was the perfect heat quencher - yummy too. However, the grilled sausage was amazing, somewhat close to latin flavors, surprisingly. The rice that came with the sausage was a shocking showstopper, together with the raw salmon salad.
Good place to spend for lunch time. Food and ingredients are fresh and delicious. Staff is welcome and have service minded.

Somtamnua is the first restaurant that introduced me to the taste of 'plara' (pickled fish). Although plara somtam is very popular now, Tum-Mua is still the number one menu item at this restaurant for me."
